There's something so proper about a Northern Bobwhite. Between the neatly marked face and his stately posture, Mr. Bingley looks as though he might politely introduce himself before wandering off. I loved painting the intricate feather patterns that make Northern Bobwhites so beautifully camouflaged, especially the crisp white face that gives them such unmistakable character.
