Despite the name, this brook trout is actually a char, not a true trout — you can see it in the pattern: pale, worm-like markings across an olive-green back, and red spots ringed in blue running down the sides. I loved saving that fiery orange belly against all that cool green. Original watercolor on archival, 100% cotton paper.
